Midlands College of Golf has made a strong start to the year and students are already benefitting from coaching, golf membership and an extraordinary competition calendar.

Students, who are based at either Sutton Coldfield College or Stourbridge College, can take part in an A-level equivalent education and also have two mornings dedicated to golf practice and a regular competition day Wednesdays.

In the first three weeks students have had the opportunity to play at 5 different courses and so far have took on the challenge of Harborne, Wishaw, Hagley, Morley Hayes and Retford.  Also on the calendar for this year is also a league fixture at Nothants County and National Finals dates at Trevose and St Andrews, which the team will be eagerly trying to qualify for.

The programme has recruited from a variety of clubs in the region and their 14 students this year represent 11 different golf clubs from the Staffordshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire County.
