Norwood Park Club Captains 2017 Karen Thomas & Paul Inman helped raised over £12K during last year in aid of the British Heart Foundation & Notts/Lincs Air Ambulance


The Club held their final fundraiser Auction at their Presentation Event at Norwood Hall last month

“ We have been I overwhelmed by the support we have been given by members, volunteers, visitors and local businesses in Southwell and within the region. With special thanks must also go to all the staff and their suppliers who helped contributed a great deal to the total. We would like to wish our new Club Captains Christine Green  & Denis Jepson the very best for 2018”

This included £556 for Macmillan Coffee morning, £300 to the Breast Cancer Unit from Pink Ladies Coaching, £140 for the Red Cross Caribbean Hurricane Appeal & the Junior Section also raised £380 for REACH,

The Ladies NCLGA Bronze Team celebrated winning their Division & promotion, the Gents NUGC Scratch Team secured their Division 1 place, the club congratulated the many Juniors who had a very successful season with many county & national champions.








Another level – Leamington & County

Leamington and County GC has the experience of over 100 years of golfing tradition combined with a healthy modern attitude to bringing new golfers into the game.

Leamington have undertaken some course developments this year too, a slightly altered layout now exists with a re-route and two changed holes which include a new 18th. A joint editor’s visit was required to check it all out, Mandy and myself chose the hottest day of the year to do it!

Nuneaton GC – 2018 style

The fortunes of Nuneaton Golf Club are doing rather nicely of late, a rate of progress to compare favourably with their famous son. Locally born Andy Sullivan played his golf here from picking up a club at the age of ten. He still lives in the area and during his downtime away from the European Tour is often to be found on the fairways of Nuneaton, still playing money games with old mates.
