COVID–19 – MIDLANDS GOLF

We are living through an unprecedented situation as the Coronavirus outbreak continues to develop across the UK.

As it stands golf is off the table, we are not out there playing our favourite sport sadly.

Midlands Golfer are unable to produce printed publications at this time for obvious reasons. We are 100% confident that when the virus is defeated we will be able to resume as normal due to the unwavering support of our regular clients, we thank them for that and wish everybody in every golf club in The Midlands and beyond the best of health through this and a swift return to normal golfing life when it’s over.

MG though will still continue to be busy on the website here plus on our busy social media platforms.

We’re open to suggestions on how best to fill the time but here’s a few we came up with.

TELL US ABOUT IT…… (MG editor Phil will post his favourite moments in the following categories as a guideline in the next few days)

Your first hole-in-one – Let us know where it was, how you felt and if you can remember, a brief description of the quality of the shot and how it ended up falling into the hole. If you have a photo of you by the holeside or in the bar afterwards celebrating – all the better.

Your best ever round – The golfer’s holy grail – That day that we all live for – when absolutely everything went right – when you couldn’t put a foot wrong.

Tin Cup moment – This should be fun – that time where stubbornness outweighs golfing prowess, where you really shouldn’t be doing it, but you and only your mind remains in belief that you can pull off the near impossible – Phil’s got a belter to relate from Celtic Manor’s Roman Road course back in 2009 – read that soon and let us know if something similar happened to you.

The best posts we receive and publish online will also go in the magazine when it returns – whenever that will be.
