A potentially life changing opportunity for young aspiring golfers is now up for grabs! Cosby’s Award winning Pro Anders Mankert is once again offering a year long scholarship to an ambitious junior golfer from the Midlands. The winner will receive a year’s coaching with Anders, who this year was awarded an Advanced Fellowship of the PGA. He is one of only 65 Professionals in the world ever to achieve this status.

Previous winners of this scholarship have included Ryan Evans (was 8 hcp) who is now on the European Tour and Chris Lager (10 hcp) who is now a fully qualified PGA Pro himself. Olivia Barrs (16 hcp ) is now the 5 hcp County Captain and has been selected for England regional training. Last year’s winner Charlie Price was 14 and is now 7, and has established himself as one of the best juniors in Leicestershire.

This year’s scholarship winner will also receive the full package including a ball contract sponsored by Titleist and full support from TPI Strength and Conditioning coach Jamie Greaves. Jamie is one of only 3 Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) level 3 coaches in the UK. Nutritionalist Amy Thomas will also provide a full programme for the winning candidate. A once in a lifetime opportunity for an aspiring junior golfer and applications are invited by email to andersmankert@yahoo.co.uk or visit www.andersmankert.co.uk

The deadline for applications is 15th of November and the winner will be selected by a panel of judges with the scholarship starting in December. Good luck!

Gaudet Luce Golf Club

Gaudet Luce – Major host

This is a modern golf and leisure complex that doesn’t like to sit still and the steady growth in popularity of the club since its opening in 1995 has enabled the family ownership to put investment back into the course and facilities.

125 years – South Staffs GC

The South Staffordshire Club is always a special visit. Nestled in the leafy suburbs of Wolverhampton, a traditional members club with a much admired parkland course that never fails to impress. Messrs Vardon, Colt, Braid and more recently Donald Steel have all played their parts in creating a layout that charms, teases and yields a low score very reluctantly.
