Our Society Championships returns to the calendar after a few years away. This competition has seen some good action, great competitiveness and valuable socialising between our local groups since we met up at Forest of Arden for the first one back in 2016. Some of those who were there on a demanding and long 36-hole day then (have forgiven us!) and will compete again this time around.
This collage photo below is from our previous society championship at Gaudet Luce in 2021 and all of the fourball teams representing local groups who competed with us.
We’ve not moved it far from FOA for this one, keeping it nice and central in the region to get as many groups over as possible. We’re inviting fourball teams who will represent their active Midlands golf societies to take part.
The date will be Friday July 4th – the venue is Stonebridge Golf Club in Meriden, extremely close links to the M42, junction 6 and the A45 Birmingham/Coventry link road.

ABOUT THE VENUE
The course is based across three loops of nine holes, the Somers, Hampton and Blythe courses, which means you have choice of three 18-hole courses to choose from when you play here.
Each of the 27 holes come with distances set to test golfers of all levels. Tee shots on every hole require tactical thought and careful consideration, with water hazards coming into play on 13 holes.
Testament to the quality of the course, Stonebridge has been featured on Sky Sports whilst hosting events played on the PGA Europro Tour and the Sky Sports European Junior Open. It has also hosted many PGA Midland region tournaments and county matches, and welcomed some of Europe’s leading professional golfers.
