The Bagot Arms Golf Society (BAGS) was founded in 2009, based at our local pub in Sutton Coldfield. We currently have seven ‘major’ meetings each year and play upwards of five further matches too, including our annual Ryder Cup game against Friends Golf Society, from Nuneaton.

We also enjoy the UK and European golf breaks which have included trips to Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Portugal and Spain. Each year we take part in charity golf days which have raised money for Help for Heroes, the Make a Wish Foundation and more recently Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund.

We have played on some of the finest golf courses both home and abroad including Hawkstone Park, Wharton Park, Nefyn, Portpatrick, The Old Course St Andrews and Waterford. The Royal course at Vilamoura, Santana and Los Naranjos are some of the best we’ve played in Spain and closer to home, Hollywood, Aston Wood and The Warwickshire amongst others are ones we always enjoy.

We are a friendly, welcoming, inclusive and sociable society with an enviable fixture list and more than 40 Members. We are proudly sponsored by Ray Gray Snacks and are currently recognised as one of the West Midlands biggest and most talked about golf societies. This year is our 10th anniversary season.
