After a devastating fire in 2021 destroyed the club’s buildings, Lutterworth Golf Club in Leicestershire has completed the construction of its new clubhouse.

Also included is a large greenkeeping compound, a buggy store, and space for the professional team to provide their services.

The new clubhouse features a spacious first-floor balcony that provides an exceptional view of the golf course. The clubhouse restaurant, aptly named “The View,” can accommodate up to 120 people and is now open to the public.

Additionally, there is a members’ lounge on the first floor and a members’ dining area called “The 1904,” paying homage to the club’s founding year. The main clubhouse area is a versatile space that can be used as a conference room, private dining area, or restaurant. It includes a large terrace and seating area, offering a perfect place to unwind and observe golfers on the 18th hole.

The club’s rebuilding project has also helped improve its environmental sustainability, incorporating a recycled water washdown area for course equipment, solar panels supplying 45% of the club’s energy needs, and electric buggies. Future projects include water harvesting and creating wildlife friendly areas as part of the Greener Golf initiative with The Wildlife Trust.

The Professional team’s area includes a retail shop, a workshop, two indoor practice bays, and a Flightscope studio for club fitting and lessons. The new building also provides practical storage space for buggies, trolleys, and clubs for the members.

Despite the challenges of recent years, both members and visitors can now enjoy the amenities and hospitality of this contemporary clubhouse with its spacious outdoor recreational area.
