BIG MAX reduces plastic waste with golf bag packaging that doubles as a garment carrier
Europe’s #1 push trolley and golf bag brand BIG MAX is further enhancing its reputation for innovation with its latest environmental initiative – using high-quality recyclable packaging for its Aqua Cart bag range that doubles as a garment carrier.
Known for its innovative golf bags and trolleys, BIG MAX has made several strides over recent years to reduce its environmental impact.
This latest move was driven by company owner Thomas Reiter who wanted to further reduce the brand’s use of single-use plastics but also maintain the necessary level of protection for their premium golf bags.
“We have been reducing the use of single-use plastics in our packaging since 2019 and regularly review our practices to identify areas for improvement,” explained Thomas.
“We had the idea that not only could we use a better, recyclable material for the protective packaging on our Aqua Cart bags, but we could make it a re-usable design that golfers could get continued benefit from long after they had bought the golf bag.”
Made from recyclable fabric, the strong, stylish bag cover is in the mould of carry bags in which many high-end handbags are packaged in the world of fashion.
Once removed from the golf bag, the cover is simply turned upside down to use as a garment carrier, perfect for keeping a golfers’ clothes clean and wrinkle-free, for trips away or a change of clothes after a round.
“In all that we do, we want to provide the highest quality to our customers.
With this unique innovation we are delighted that our Aqua cart bags now deliver even more for golfers who want the best,” concludes Thomas.

All BIG MAX Aqua Cart bags shipped from November 2020 will include the BIG MAX garment bag as standard packaging.
