A very important date for your 2026 diaries
The MGALS (Midlands Golfer Amateur Ladies Society) are back and ready for an exciting start to their 2026 golfing season in Worcestershire this coming spring.
The society, ran by Midlands Golfer lady editor Mandy Ambert began life in 2017 as a ladies own group. During the years since, the successful growth in member numbers and the great times they’ve enjoyed golfing and socialising across the Midlands has attracted envious looks from their husbands/male golfing partners. So much so that the MGALS is now just as much a mixed society as it is ladies.
Here are the details of the first MGALS event of 2026 – a two-day 36 hole competition with an overnight stay in Worcester.
The dates for your diaries are Thursday June 4th 2026 and the day after.
The venues will be Bransford Golf Club for round one on Thurs 4th with an overnight stay at the 4* Bank House Hotel on the same site on that evening. The following day we move a few miles up the road to Droitwich, playing at Gaudet Luce for round two.
Golfers of all abilities are welcomed along, the MGALS events specialise in fun and socialising (and large gins!) as much as anything else. As Mandy always says, golfing ability isn’t the main thing – having a good time most certainly is.
