The Nottinghamshire based junior tour, backed by local European Tour star Robert Rock celebrated its most successful year to date with a big competition and end of season prize giving ceremony at Coxmoor GC on October 29th.

Robert Rock was there in person to present the awards, an evening that also saw the tour announce their first ever tour squad to take on the Shires Tour juniors in a special Ryder Cup style match next August at Nailcote Hall.

This season’s tour went to three counties as it continues to spread its wings to new venues across the Midlands.

Sutton Coldfield GC started things off in late April, then further events were held at Ruddington Grange, Beeston Fields, Longcliffe (Leics) and Ramsdale Park before 75 juniors, rocked up to compete together at a fully booked up Coxmoor during half term week.

Tour organiser Natalie Clarke, PGA Professional at Morley Hayes commented on a very successful 2018 for the tour.

“Thank you to all juniors and parents who have supported the tour this year, we have had a great time running the events and to see how well the juniors are progressing not only with their golf but confidence too. Plus at the same time making new friends for life, this is why we run this tour. We are super excited for 2019 where we are extending the tour to eight events as well as a Grand Final; we have some great new courses on the schedule as well as those who have been with us from the start. It should be a fun year and we tee it off in February with our first event at Whittington Heath.”
