Swing into Winter with an exclusive membership at The Manor House

Aspiring golfers in the Cotswolds area looking to continue playing throughout the winter months can enjoy unrivalled course conditions at The Manor House – with five-day memberships still available.

The Manor House

The esteemed club is home to one of England’s most spectacular courses, renowned for its quality and excellent year-round conditions.

Like many other UK golf clubs, The Manor House has benefited from the country’s golf boom, which has seen the sport’s popularity soar following the national lockdown, with seven-day memberships now running thin and weekend tee sheets filling up weeks in advance.

Yet with flexible working patterns becoming the norm, there has never been a better time to join the club as a five-day member, which, thanks to the exceptional drainage of the course, has the rare benefit of being open 365 days a year, without the need for temporary greens, thanks to its limestone base.

Located in the pretty village of Castle Combe, Wiltshire, just 10 minutes from Junction 17 of the M4, The Manor House Golf Club is a desirable place to play, let alone be a member of, with some of the most idyllic scenery which can be seen on an English golf course.

Championship Standard

The delightful championship-standard 18-hole course is immersed in the enchanting surroundings of the Cotswolds, with 365 acres of breathtaking rolling countryside as a backdrop.

2nd hole with waterall

Designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark, the mature oak and beech trees that line the beautifully manicured fairways, together with the immaculate greens and the River Bybrook meandering through the middle, bring both drama and beauty to the 6,500-yard parkland course, which is rightly considered one of the best in the South West.

Membership

Not only do members gain priority access to the beautiful course all year round – as well as an advanced booking window and member-only tee times – yet they are also able to enter the busy schedule of competitions;

  • Unlimited range balls to use on the USGA practice facilities;
  • Preferential GPS buggy and guest rates
  • 10 complimentary guest passes a year;
  • Free room hire for up to four parties and meetings per year
  • 50 per cent off wedding room hire.

Yet what makes a membership at The Manor House so unsurpassed are the benefits that members get across the whole Exclusive Collection of hotels.

The Perks

The perks include discounts on retail, food and beverage, spa treatments and even overnight accommodation – including at the renowned Pennyhill Park hotel and spa in Surrey and at the opulent luxury hotel, The Manor House itself, and The Castle Inn pub, which are both part of the estate that encompasses the golf course.

Golf Club Manager, Andrew Ryan, said:

“We are fortunate that our course is built on a Cotswold brash which makes it drain freely. This, coupled with the fantastic work of our green keeping team, makes for brilliant conditions all year round – a rare feat for many golf clubs in England.

“And with golf becoming a phenomenon this summer, we are pleased that we can give those new to the game, or those that used the time to get back into it, a unique opportunity to continue playing and improving through the winter.

And with the change in working habits, especially with more people working from home, we are delighted that we still have a number of five-day memberships available for people to play unlimited golf on our spectacular course Monday to Friday.

Originally built in 1992, the award-winning course was relaunched in July 2006, after it was lengthened and resequenced with new ‘Tiger Tees’ – making it a must for all category one and two golfers.
