Branston Seniors acclaimed widely as one of the friendliest and most successful Seniors golf groups in the Midlands has raised £1,500 for Branston Club’s captain’s charity appeal in 2018 for the Midlands Air Ambulance.
Presenting the cheque to Club captains Jane Docksey & Mike Doyle at the Seniors Christmas Party & ‘Legends of Las Vegas’ show at a packed Branston Pavilion, Seniors captain Rod Greenfield, paid tribute especially to Terry Box and Kevin Smith for their hard work organising popular quizzes attracting golfers and generating funds for the charity.
Accepting the £1,500 donation Club captain Mike Doyle described some of the range of activities generating funds for Branston’s Captains Charity 2018 appeal including his own 140 mile sponsored cycle ride from the Air Ambulance base near Gloucester to Cosford and Tatenhill and Jane Docksey’s planned ‘Wing Walk’ in the Spring – all in aid of the Midlands Air Ambulance.
‘Watching the Air Ambulance take off from Tatenhill on a life-saving mission was an overwhelming experience that I’ll remember for a very long time’ commented Lady captain Jane Docksey.
