During his year as Leek Golf Club’s 2024 Junior Captain, Theo Kirtley has raised an incredible £4,005.31 for the Windmills Charity.

Theo put in countless hours organising a raffle for the junior presentation evening, running junior putting challenges, and even spending his weekends cleaning member’s clubs.

Theo is pictured presenting Zara and Leeanne from the charity with the proceeds (Theo even raised an extra £1,000 after the photo was taken!)

Zara from Windmills Charity said “We’re immensely grateful and filled with pride for all that Theo has accomplished, bolstered by the unwavering support of the golfing community. It was a true honour to meet him, his family, and the esteemed representatives of Leek Golf Club, witnessing firsthand the dedication of a young man eager to make a meaningful impact on his peers.”

This generous donation empowers us to extend our reach, continuing to support more children and young individuals across Staffordshire as we usher in a new year. Our service stands apart, often misperceived as a bereavement counselling service. In truth, no two children or young adults will receive identical support from Windmills, as we deeply empathise with and embrace the unique ways in which anticipated grief unfolds.”

Windmills Charity provide acute bereavement support for children and young people across Staffordshire. Visit www.windmillscharity.org/ to find out more about the fantastic work they do.
