Notts Golf Club (Hollinwell) has transformed its branding with a new logo – a stylised wisp of heather above the Hollinwell name. The club feels the logo better connects its historic name to the natural beauty of their leading heathland golf course.
A combination of golfing heritage, future ambition and excellent heathland management credentials all spurred the club on to adopt bold new branding.
Players and wildlife are now benefitting from Hollinwell’s considerable investment in the Heathland Restoration project over the last 20 years. The work has been rewarded with the coveted GEO Certification for high standards of nature conservation and environmental sustainability and the Course Manager Phil Stain, awarded “UK Conservation Greenkeeper of The Year 2019”.
Hollinwell is one of the finest tests of golf in the UK and is currently one of only four Final Open Qualifying courses. Looking to the future, the club is now working with environmental golf architects Mackenzie & Ebert, who advise many of the most highly ranked courses in the world, including seven of the ten (British) Open venues.
