WOW, what a season to remember and a new one is just around the corner.  2018 saw holes in ones, European Tour gent and lady stars lining up alongside our budding junior golf stars, and new venues all giving a warm welcome to the Shires Junior Golf Tour.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank every club (14 in total) that could not do enough to make the Shires Tour experience a success in 2018. With over 200 different players taking part in the 2018 season, Shires must be doing something right.

BIGGER AND BETTER  What’s in store for the 2019 season?

A chance to qualify for the Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship at Nailcote Hall, and the Midlands Golfer Par 3 Championships in June welcomes the Shires juniors once again. The picture shows Joseph Hyde, the winner of the MG Par 3 Championship in 2018.

More Pro-Ams, team events, Parents vs the Juniors match ups plus a new Order of Merit season with great prizes.

Tour Manager Paul Bull has set out a new schedule for 2019 aimed at promoting and educating players so that they are ready to represent their golf clubs, counties and even at national level too.

Paul explained – “We have been very lucky in the past six years, the Shires Junior Golf Tour has seen players take part for their clubs , move into their county squads, play for their country and even turn professional too. Something that we are all very proud of.”

Exciting news for 2019

Shires, the KJ Golf Academy at Market Harborough GC , Custom Lab Golf and Par + have put together a package of prizes from the top golfing brands for next season. Watch out for more news or visit our website shiresjuniorgolftour.co.uk
